FINE ART SCHOOL PORTRAITS

I am thrilled to offer fine art school portraits to Bay Area schools to capture these playful, joyful, and all-too-fleeting moments of childhood.

What is fine art school photography?

Fine art school photography is a modern approach to school photos. No more cheesy smiles, strange backgrounds, or forced poses. Pictures are taken from the shoulders up in natural light against a classic, neutral backdrop in a comfortable and playful setting. I take simple, timeless photographs worthy of framing in your home. The emphasis is on each child’s personality and how they are in this moment. I’ll encourage them to be themselves, make any of the silly faces they want, and will not force them to awkwardly say “cheese.”

How does it work?

I pride myself on making this a simple, secure, streamlined process. Within 2 weeks of photo day, I will email families the link to a password-protected proofing gallery. I guarantee 3-5 images of each child. Parents choose which images they like and place orders directly through my website. The gallery will be live for two weeks, and all orders must be placed in that period (sorry, no exceptions!). Once orders have been placed, photos will be delivered to the schools within 4 weeks. I also donate 10% of all proceeds to the preschool.

How much does it cost?

There is no cost to the school and no up-front cost to parents. My prices are competitive with national school photography brands (packages start at just $25). I offer a variety of collections and à la carte options to fit every budget.

What should children wear?

Whatever they’d like! Logos, graphics or bright neon clothing can be tricky but it’s most important that the kids are comfortable. I recommend solid, neutral colors when possible.
